The retina is a thin tissue that lines the inside of the eye and functions like a film in the camera. Healthy retina, vitreous and optic nerve are essential for normal visual function. Diseases of the retina can cause serious vision loss. Fortunately, most of them can be treated with modern methods of therapy.

SURGICAL RETINA:

The retina department performs diagnostic and surgical therapy for vitreoretinal diseases, including:

Alcon/Greishaber Vitreoretinal instruments and accessories for all types of retinal surgeries including perflurocarbon liquids, silicon oil, silicon tyres and bands are available.

All surgeries are perfomed using MIVS (sutureless vitrectomy 23, 25G).
